Toyota RAV4 Dealer

There’s no other way to slice it––Toyota’s lineup is one of the largest in the automotive industry, offering well over a dozen models to buy from EVs, hybrids, crossovers, SUVs, and more. Among the list of high-performance vehicles, capable pickup trucks, and versatile SUVs is a familiar car: the RAV4. Millions of drivers have purchased this beloved SUV since its inception several decades ago. Drivers seeking adventure, versatility, and performance, all wrapped into one cohesive experience at a friendly price, found what they’re looking for with the RAV4. You’ve made the right choice, and Performance Toyota is your go-to Toyota RAV4 dealer. Performance Toyota is the dealership of choice for many residents in the greater area of Philadelphia because people want a dealership they can trust, and Performance Toyota is just that.

Our staff understands that purchasing a vehicle is a serious matter, and if you’ve been to a dealership in the past, you know the high-pressure sales tactics pushy salesmen resort to don’t help your cause. At Performance Toyota, your experience shopping at our dealership will be custom tailored to what you need––no fluff, no hidden costs, and the best RAV4 vehicles you’ll find.

We Can Get You a New or Used Toyota RAV4

You can always count on us at Performance Toyota to supply our customers with the world-renowned RAV4. The RAV4 you purchase doesn’t have to be the latest model. Although we have the newest version available, our pre-owned lot is regularly updated with a unique selection of pre-owned RAV4 models to buy. Buying a new vehicle has many benefits. Then again, purchasing a pre-owned model has a host of benefits, so which kind of RAV4 should you buy? The benefits of one may outweigh the other, and ultimately, the RAV4 you purchase should be which one makes the most sense for your wants, needs, and budget.

Buying a new Toyota vehicle has charm and is an unforgettable experience, but what makes a new RAV4 the better choice over a pre-owned one? Everyone should be a vehicle’s first owner at one point or another, with the most notable benefit being a spotless history, a zeroed odometer, and more customization. Customization is a large part of the new vehicle shopping experience. For example, after deciding you want a new RAV4, you’re presented with your choice of trim level, integrated packages, body color, and more. Purchasing a pre-owned vehicle lacks this freedom of choice since you are getting an already configured model. When buying a new RAV4, you’ll get Toyota’s new vehicle warranties like the 3-year/36,000-mile basic coverage, the 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain coverage, and the 5-year/unlimited-mile rust-through coverage.

Purchasing a pre-owned vehicle has benefits too. The first, and perhaps the most notable perk, is saving money. Saving money can be the goal with pre-owned cars, or you could spend as much as you would on the newest model but get a better trim, luxury packages, and more. However, one benefit of pre-owned vehicles is reduced depreciation. It’s no small secret new vehicles depreciate once you drive them off the lot. If you buy a car released five or more years ago, most of its price cuts have taken place, meaning you have a better chance of retaining its resale value when you trade it in for your next vehicle.

Some drivers may also have reservations about buying a pre-owned car, but why is that? When many people think about the previous owner of a pre-owned, it’s easy to assume the worst, but that’s where modern-day benefits like CARFAX reports come into play. With a CARFAX report, you’ll have a detailed history of the vehicle you’re considering, complete with service history, previous owners, and most importantly, if the car has been in an accident, it’ll show on the report. CARFAX reports aren’t available for every pre-owned vehicle, but if you shop at the right dealership, you can expect to get one, like at Performance Toyota.

The RAV4: Gas, Hybrid, Prime

The gasoline-powered RAV4, the RAV4 Hybrid, and the RAV4 Prime models are vastly different. However, there are a host of similarities between the two. The most notable differentiating factor is powertrains. The gasoline-powered RAV4 is your average run-of-the-mill engine running on gasoline. Inside RAV4 models like 2020, 2021, and 2022 RAV4 is a 2.5L I-4 engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The same 2.5L I-4 engine is in the RAV4 Hybrid and Prime. However, both vehicles utilize it in different ways. For example, the RAV4 Hybrid pairs the I-4 engine with a motor and battery, but it requires gasoline with no option to drive without it.

The RAV4 Prime uses the 2.5L I-4 engine, but with its battery and motors, you can operate the RAV4 without gasoline for a period. You can use this feature when driving around town or if you need to save some gas before you get to the station. Technology features, while similar between the three, tend to have some differences. For example, the RAV4 Prime can often include a better infotainment center, hence the price disparity.
